Season 2006 / 2007
We have decided not to enter a team in The National Club Championship for the season 2006/2007. Although Hammersmith were eliminated in the 3rd round in last seasons NCC. The two seasons before 2003/2004 & 2004/2005 Hammersmith finished runners up on both occasions.
Problems occurred this year with our Home venue not being available on a Saturday together with problems of finding suitably graded replacements at the last minute for late drop outs.

20 years ago Hammersmith won promotion to the 3rd Division. This year we have won promotion to the 2nd Division and not only that we have done it in style by winning the Division outright with 9.5 points out of 11 so that makes us
THE CHAMPIONS !!!
A great achievement - over 11 tough fought board games with nine wins, one draw, one loss, and only one default in the whole season.
We had such a loyal team of players that over the whole season we only needed to field 15 players which is probably a record in itself.
Special thanks to John Wooley for acting as Team Captain (with the able assistance of Michael Price) to ensure a full team on both occasions. Many thanks to John & Michael
This is a list of individual scoring percentages so that everyone can see how they did in the season. Trmendously well done guys!!!

Although promotion has still to be confirmed Michael has done his sums and is 100% confident of going up
Well done to the Middlesex League !!
| Thames Valley League 2 |
Hammersmith results in this seasons Thames Valley league are as follows
7.5 points from 14
7 Wins, 1 Draw, 6 Losses
This secured 4th place. John Wooley the team captain had NO defaults throughout.
This season is a good achievement bearing in mid the Thames Valley are the furthest to travel. Promotion was not far away according to John. Some matches hinged on just one or two games.
We all wish John and his team all the best for the new season.

THE CHAMPIONS !!!
Played 10 Won 7 Drew 1, Lost 2
Finishing on 7.5 points from 10 total
No defaults at all; especially pleasing as with only a 4 board league it is difficult to surrender a single point for nothing.
Donny our board 1 played 8, Won 6, Lost 2
The star and the Olympic Gold goes to our board 2 Ken Hedger. Played 10, Won 8 with 2 of those on board 1 in Donny's absence. A magnificent result for Ken.
Board 2/3 shared with Mike and Karl scoring 4.5 points
Nicholas Board 4; Won 5,Drawn 1,Lost 4
